Poster sessions took place on both days of VS10. Everyone attending this year’s event was invited to present a poster on work related to any of this year’s meeting topics or any aspect of vacuum in general.
This year the Vacuum Symposium Poster Prizes (£100 and certificate on both days) were sponsored by the VS Platinum Sponsor and the IOP Vacuum Group.
Posters are judged on the basis of scientific content, effectiveness of communication and overall appearance.
2018 Poster Prizes Poster Prize winners in 2018 were:
Day 1: Gregory Smith, University of York (pictured left above), receiving his prize from Sunil Patel (R) representing the VS Committee and the sponsors, IOP Vacuum Group.
Day 2: Alex Shaw, University of Loughborough (L) with certificate from Paul Carroll (R), UK Service Manager of the sponsors Leybold Vacuum UK Ltd.
