Surface Analysis — the changing composition at the surface
Thursday 10th October 2019 | Ricoh Arena, Coventry, CV6 6GE
Thursday 10th October 2019 | Ricoh Arena, Coventry, CV6 6GE
Is the composition of your material surface correct? Is the chemistry, chemical environment, electronic or physical structure of the surface of your product or material how you wish it to be? Was the change planned or is it a problem?
This meeting is arranged with the intention of improving the knowledge of surface analysis, characterisation and compound identification techniques.
Surface analysis is used not only for the development of new high functionality ‘smart’ surfaces and products utilising them, but also for helping high performance materials to properly exhibit their functionality.
Surface analysis is of particular importance for examining adhesion, biocompatibility of a material, chemical activity, composition, corrosion resistance, coatings, contaminants, electrical properties, friction, optical properties, product flow, semiconductors, structures, tomography and surface wetness.

Close of meeting
The exhibition remains open until 16:00
The main meeting programme will be by invitation however we are keen to involve Young Scientists who are researching novel and exciting new techniques or unique applications.
We invite abstracts for poster presentation which will be peer reviewed.
Posters will be located inside the Vacuum Expo exhibition area for maximum exposure, impact and will provide an invaluable networking opportunity.
